BLACKPINK Successfully Concludes LA "DEADLINE" Concerts with Surprise Guest Bruno Mars
BLACKPINK successfully wrapped up their Los Angeles leg of the BLACKPINK held "BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR.
Bruno Mars had previously received immense love from music fans for "APT.," a global hit song born from his collaboration with Rosé. He made a surprise appearance during his part in the second verse, harmonizing with Rosé and moving across the stage, electrifying the audience.
Subsequently, Rosé shared her feelings with fans about completing such a special stage. Shouting, "Thank you Bruno, thank you so much," she added, "Bruno told me he was happy to be on stage with me today. I hope you all enjoyed it too."
Furthermore, BLACKPINK achieved a new record with this concert, becoming the first K-pop girl group in the world to sell out both days and attract the largest audience (approximately 100,000 attendees) at the venue. They will continue their North American tour in cities like Chicago, Toronto, and New York. They are also set to perform at stadium-level venues worldwide, including Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK released their new digital single "JUMP" on July 11th. The song dominated iTunes' song charts, reaching No. 1 in 60 cumulative regions and topping the worldwide chart. Immediately upon its release on YouTube, it soared to No. 1 on worldwide trending and rapidly rising charts, then claimed the top spot for global daily popular music videos.
Notably, it also secured the No. 1 spot on Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global chart. This marks their third song to achieve this feat, following "Pink Venom" and "Shut Down," the pre-release and title tracks from their second full album released in 2022, making BLACKPINK the first K-pop group to hold three No. 1 songs on this chart. As the song has maintained its top position for two consecutive days, its long-running popularity is expected to continue for some time.
